Pengaruh Simulasi Berbasis Video terhadap Keterampilan Resusitasi Jantung Paru pada Mahasiswa Keperawatan

Cardiac arrest is an emergency condition that requires immediate response through Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Nursing students, as prospective first responders, are required to possess adequate CPR skills, yet preliminary studies indicate that such skills generally remain in the poor category. This study aims to analyze the effect of video-based simulation on CPR skills among nursing students. The research design used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pre and post-test design without a control group. The sample consisted of 30 respondents obtained through total sampling technique. The instrument used was a CPR skill observation sheet based on a validated and reliable Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that prior to the video simulation, the majority of respondents were in the less skilled category, while after the simulation the majority improved to the fairly skilled and skilled categories, with a p value of 0.000 (p<0.05). It can be concluded that video-based simulation has a significant effect on improving the CPR skills of nursing students, making it a viable learning strategy for emergency nursing education.
