Education is a conscious and planned process in shaping knowledgeable, character-based, and moral individuals. However, in practice, education has certain limits that cannot be exceeded, both in terms of human capabilities, the environment, and prevailing normative values. Furthermore, educational tools as a means to achieve educational goals also have limitations in their function and effectiveness. This study aims to analyze the limits of education and educational tools from the perspectives of general education and Islamic education. The method used is library research with a descriptive-analytical approach. The results show that general education tends to limit education to rational and empirical aspects, while Islamic education places the limits of education on revealed and moral values. Educational tools in both perspectives have important functions, but cannot replace the primary role of educators. Therefore, integration between general and Islamic approaches is necessary for a more holistic education.
