Abstract

Islamic education is a conscious, planned effort in preparing Students to know, understand, internalize, to the process believing in the teachings of Islam in his life, or it can be said to be a attempts to change the behavior of the individual in his personal life, its community life and the surrounding natural life through the process of education based on Islamic values so that later students capable, able and skilled in running life as an effort maintain its survival and development. Therefore, in this Thesis there are several problems that become Research focus, namely: (1) Life Skills-based Application Islamic religious education?; (2) how efforts are made in apply life skills based on Islamic education; (3) What are the obstacles in applying life skills ( life skills ) based on Islamic education. For this reason, in writing this Thesis, the type of research used by The author is a qualitative discriminatory research method, with emphasis on The power of observation in the field directly then analyzes the data on existing data sources. And from the results of this study shows that Islamic education and life skills are an inseparable component, because Both are a whole unit in relation to life. The study also shows that the concept of life skills can be used as a new direction of Islamic education, by integrating some aspects of life skills with Islamic education.
