The postpartum period is a critical phase involving biological and emotional transitions. Physical recovery includes uterine involution, restoration of pelvic floor muscle tone, and perineal wound healing, while psychological recovery requires emotional stability. Inadequate recovery may increase maternal morbidity. Postpartum yoga may support physical and psychological recovery by reducing stress and improving sleep and mood. To analyze the effectiveness of postpartum yoga in accelerating physical and psychological recovery among postpartum women. This quasi-experimental study used a pretest-posttest control group design. Sixty postpartum women selected through purposive sampling were divided into intervention and control groups, with 30 participants each. The intervention group received postpartum yoga and standard care, while the control group received standard care only. Recovery was assessed using the REEDA scale and EPDS. Results: In the intervention group, the mean REEDA score decreased from 1.30 to 0.03 (p=0.001), while the mean EPDS score decreased from 2.33 to 0.30 (p<0.001). Both scores differed significantly before and after the intervention. Postpartum yoga is an effective, safe, practical, and low-cost complementary intervention supporting postpartum physical and psychological recovery. It can be integrated into midwifery services following health screening and adaptation to each woman’s condition.
