Stroke infarction is a major cause of neurological disability, and metabolic abnormalities at hospital admission may reflect both vascular risk and the acute stress response. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between admission blood glucose and lipid profile with length of stay among patients with infarct stroke at RSUD Arosuka. An analytic observational study with a retrospective cohort design was conducted using medical records from January 2025 – January 2026. Adult inpatients with a primary diagnosis of infarct stroke, complete admission blood glucose, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglyceride values, and complete admission-discharge dates were included by total sampling. Length of stay was calculated in days. Correlations were assessed using Spearman tests. A total of 98 patients were analyzed, with a median length of stay of 6,74 ± 2,08 days. Admission blood glucose showed a strong positive and significant correlation with length of stay (rₛ=0.720; p<0.001). Total cholesterol (rₛ=0.529; p<0.001), LDL-C (rₛ=0.391; p<0.001), and triglycerides (rₛ=0.497; p<0.001) also showed positive and significant correlations with length of stay, while HDL-C demonstrated a negative and significant correlation (rₛ=-0.306; p<0.001). These findings suggest that metabolic parameters at hospital admission are associated with length of stay and may support early risk stratification of hospitalized infarct stroke patients.
