Abstract

This study was motivated by the fact that not all students were interested, able to think critically, or demonstrate creativity during the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project themed "Sustainable Lifestyle" at SMP Negeri 1 Kesugihan. The aim of the research is to examine the influence of internal and external factors on students' interest and the internalization of Islamic character values throughout the project. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using the ex post facto method through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results revealed that student interest was influenced by internal factors, particularly psychological aspects such as curiosity, and external factors, mainly in the form of teacher support. The internalization of Islamic character values was successfully implemented through students' active involvement in the project. Values such as religiosity, honesty, tolerance, discipline, creativity, curiosity, nationalism, patriotism, appreciation of achievement, environmental care, responsibility, and independence were effectively instilled through continuous teacher guidance.
