Perencanaan dan Pengendalian Jadwal Proyek Fiber To The Home Menggunakan Metode Program Evaluation and Review Technique dan Metode Predence Diagram Method di PT XYZ

Abstract

Fiber To The Home (FTTH) network construction projects require effective planning and schedule control to ensure completion within target timeframes. PT XYZ, a company specializing in the procurement of telecommunications goods and services, experienced delays in an FTTH project in West Sumatra. A project originally scheduled for completion in two months was delayed by up to four months due to the lack of a structured schedule and suboptimal time control. This study aims to determine the sequence of work activities, identify the critical path and project duration, and establish a more systematic basis for schedule control using the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) and Precedence Diagram Method (PDM). A quantitative descriptive approach utilizing a case study method was employed. Data were gathered through interviews with field supervisors, technicians, and project coordinators, as well as from company documents such as progress reports, working drawings, and technical project data. The results indicate that applying the PERT and PDM methods yields an estimated project duration of 41 days, which is faster than the two-month completion target. Furthermore, the use of Microsoft Project enables the systematic visualization of the project schedule, thereby facilitating more effective project time control.
