Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in supporting the growth of the agro-industrial sector. However, raw material shortages remain one of the major challenges affecting production continuity. UMKM Indofarm, a salted egg producer, frequently experiences insufficient duck egg supply, resulting in production disruptions and unmet production targets. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of Supply Chain Management (SCM) in salted egg production, identify the factors causing raw material shortages, and determine improvement priorities using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). A descriptive quantitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to eight respondents involved in production and inventory management activities. The analysis consisted of supply chain identification, hierarchy construction, pairwise comparison assessment, consistency testing, and priority weight calculation using Expert Choice software. The findings revealed that SCM implementation at UMKM Indofarm had not been fully optimized, particularly in raw material inventory management. The primary factors affecting duck egg availability were cage conditions (35.5%), feed quality (34.8%), and employee performance (29.7%). The AHP results indicated that improving cage conditions was the highest priority strategy (38.7%), followed by feed quality improvement (33.0%) and employee performance enhancement (28.4%). The integration of SCM and AHP provides a systematic decision-making framework that supports more effective inventory management, improves production continuity, and enhances overall supply chain performance.
