The development of digital health technology has driven the need for a blood sugar monitoring system that is capable of working in real-time, integrated, and easily accessible by medical personnel. This study aims to design and develop a wireless-based blood sugar monitoring system by utilizing the integration of a glucometer, Arduino Mega 2560, Bluetooth HC-05 module, Android device, and web server. The system is designed to measure, send, store, and visualize patient blood sugar data online so that it can support telemedicine and remote patient monitoring services. The research method used is an experimental method through the stages of literature study, hardware and software design, system implementation, and data transmission performance testing. Testing was carried out by observing the process of blood sugar level data transmission at intervals of 60 seconds, 90 seconds, and 120 seconds. Data analysis was carried out descriptively quantitatively by calculating the data transmission error value at each observation interval. The results of the study show that the system is capable of transmitting blood sugar level measurement data from a glucometer to an Android device and web server in real-time. The average error value obtained was 23.33% for the 60-second observation, 32% for the 90-second observation, and 31.11% for the 120-second observation. Data transmission instability was influenced by differences in the glucometer ADC frequency and processor frequency, so a data validation mechanism was developed on the Android device before the data was sent to the server. The developed system is able to display patient data in graphical and tabular form, making it easier for medical personnel to monitor patient conditions remotely.
