Integrasi Computer Science Unplugged dan Discovery Learning dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Logis Siswa Smk pada Materi Firewall

This study explores integrating Computer Science Unplugged and Discovery Learning to improve the logical thinking skills of vocational high school students in firewall learning. Logical thinking is an essential competency in vocational education, particularly in cybersecurity, where students must analyze system logic focusing on Firewall Filter Rules. However, firewall learning is often difficult because the concepts are abstract and commonly taught using teacher-centered procedural approaches. To address this issue, this study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) combined with a scoping review approach to evaluate and synthesize previous studies related to Computer Science Unplugged, Discovery Learning, logical thinking, and firewall learning. The review process rigorously followed the PRISMA-ScR framework using the ScienceDirect database and supporting references. The findings indicate that integrating both pedagogical approaches has significant potential to create an interactive, student-centered learning environment. Specifically, this integration effectively sharpens students' sequential reasoning, argumentation skills, and their ability to draw comprehensive conclusions regarding rule hierarchy and network security functions. The implications highlight the urgent need for vocational education to shift towards discovery-based learning, empowering students to develop a conceptual understanding rather than merely memorizing procedural configurations.
