Abstract

Fluctuations in staple food prices in traditional markets trigger regional economic instability. Manual monitoring at the Trade Office is prone to information delays. This study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) for staple food price stability using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method based on a Progressive Web App (PWA). Data collection methods used observation, interviews, and documentation, with a Purposive Sampling technique. The sample alternatives focused on Shallots, Minyak Kita, and Medium Rice. Criteria weighting was based on Expert Judgment prioritizing HET Regulation (40%), Price Spikes (30%), Recovery Duration (20%), and Fluctuation Frequency (10%). All criteria use the Cost attribute. The research results indicate that PWA implementation successfully overcame network latency constraints through offline caching features. On the other hand, the SAW algorithm successfully ranked commodities with the highest crisis level as intervention priorities. These findings indicate that the transformation from manual monitoring to DSS can minimize subjectivity. Thus, this system can provide precise handling priority recommendations for the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID).
