Abstract

Diabetic patients are more prone to pressure ulcers than non-DM patients due to circulatory disorders, peripheral neuropathy, immune and metabolic system disorders, wound healing and limited mobility resulting in pressure ulcers. Decubitus ulcers are wounds caused by pressure on the skin due to the body position not changing for a long time, the importance of wound care in diabetic patients properly to avoid serious complications. The moist wound healing method is a modern approach to wound care by emphasizing the importance of maintaining wound moisture to accelerate wound healing. The design used in the preparation of this Final Scientific Paper for Nurses is a case study with an intervention in the form of wound care with the moist wound healing method on diabetic wounds. The number of respondents was 1 person, the intervention was carried out for one week with a frequency of twice a day, starting on December 11-15, 2026 at Charitas Hospital Palembang. After carrying out wound care for 1 consecutive week in three diabetic wound patients, the PUSH scale score was obtained, there was a decrease in the score change in 3 patients with 3 intervention processes, namely patient 1 Mrs. The initial score of 10 decreased to 9 after the moist wound healing method was applied.
