Literature Review: Efektivitas Kepemimpinan Manajerial dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Organisasi Kesehatan

Managerial leadership is crucial in enhancing the performance of healthcare organizations amidst complex services and dynamic governance. This literature review aims to examine scientific evidence regarding the effectiveness of leadership, identify implementation challenges, and formulate relevant strategies to improve service quality and healthcare worker productivity. The study utilizes a literature review method with data sources derived from Google Scholar, Garuda, and Neliti (spanning the years 2021–2026). The literature search was conducted using relevant keywords such as "managerial leadership" and "healthcare leadership" with the aid of Boolean operators. The findings indicate that transformational and democratic leadership styles are the most effective in boosting motivation, employee engagement, and organizational culture. Other supporting factors include managerial competence development, effective communication, and the utilization of information technology innovations. However, field implementation remains hindered by resistance to change, limited leadership competence, low digital literacy, and a lack of organizational support. Ultimately, the effectiveness of managerial leadership heavily depends on a leader's ability to foster a positive culture, develop human resources, and adapt to innovation. This study recommends the development of leadership strategies that are more adaptive and oriented toward the continuous improvement of healthcare service quality.
